The Tongue Slips...

It was almost by instinct that she uttered, "I love you..." 

It was neither planned nor deliberate. It was not even something that she would admit to herself...especially when reason dictates her words. Her tongue slipped (nay, betrayed her) at the time when she let her guards down. 

And though it was difficult not hearing it back, it seems that the heart feels what it feels regardless of aptness or reciprocity. 

So, she moves on...trying to forget that time...when her tongue slipped and revealed a weakness....
