Two Weeks...

Another transition is on the way. Later today, I will attend the final tutorial for the CA Exchange Programme. I will get to see Waseda's very kind professors, the helpful staff, and various interesting students from all over the globe. We'll share our experiences and well...finally our goodbyes. Today is the start of getting ready to go back to Singapore. I am torn between sadness of leaving Tokyo without seeing everything I want to see and do what I want to do (like climb Mt Fuji, on the second thought there is still time..so, maybe...) and the excitement of finally going back to the my original track...my studies, my defense, my teaching... I am just filled with astounding enthusiasm. I like new starts. I like fresh ways of seeing but also I like going back to old friends and old places.

I thank Japan for being good to me. I have no bad memories here, except for the time the black tobi bird took my burger away from me. But that is just funny now. I thank the people I have known, the crazy laughters we shared, and the intellectual journey we all traversed hand in hand. My interactions with them enriched me and helped me to see my own capacity in from a different angle. They have also challenged me to continue improving. I thank the Universe for paving me this path... It was a fruitful and productive segment..and I have grown...as a student of history and life. For the great experience, I will be eternally grateful.

For now, I look back and I look forward. I am most content.
