To The Man Who Ate the World

Such an insatiable being you are
To have drowned in wine and surrounded by fois gras
The china filled with luxurious dried fruits and rarest meats
To be raised in a palace's cozy dining hall
In my humble house, all I can really give...
Is cold water to moisten your throat
And steaming soup to warm your belly
In my humble abode, I have no delusion of grandeur
Only sumblime satisfaction.
