When have we

Outgrown us

Outgrown love

Never crossed your mind

Just once

The warmth is still warmth

but not the same

The same set of hands

Still feels strange

Nothing has really changed

Perhaps there lies the problem

You run the same circle

Over and over

The same loop

The familiar scent of familiarity

Of comfort

When have we

Outgrown us

Outgrown love

When it is in fact

The same love

What has shifted

Somewhere outside

Or maybe me

This sense of loss

of something that I still see

I still hold

I still kiss

But I must admit

I have outgrown you
